Referral Terms — Steez
Version: Launch Suite vL1 (rev. 8.1) · Effective date: 29 September 2026
Document title: Referral Terms
Applies to: Anyone who takes part in the Steez referral programme Governing law: England and Wales
1. What these terms are
1.1 These Referral Terms are an agreement between you and Steelo Labs Ltd (company number 15553648, 3 Harebell Close, Hamilton, Leicester, England, LE5 1UX — "Steelo Labs", "we", "us"). They apply when you share your Steez referral code or link and someone signs up with it (your "referee"). They sit alongside the Terms of Service.
2. Referral commission
2.1 A marketing fee from Steelo Labs. Referral commission is a fee Steelo Labs pays you for introducing new users. It is owed by Steelo Labs from its own funds. It is not a share of any fan's payment, it is not paid by or taken from any creator, and it does not reduce any creator's royalty.
2.2 Standard rates. Unless we have agreed a different rate with you in writing, the standard programme currently pays: (a) for a referee who is not a creator: 1% of the price the referee pays for qualifying purchases on Steez in the 6 months after they sign up, up to £30 in total for that referee; and (b) for a referee who becomes a creator: 1% of the price fans pay for that creator's products in the 9 months after they sign up, up to £50 in total for that referee.
2.3 Changes. We may change the standard rates, windows and caps for referees who sign up after the change, with at least 15 days' notice. A change never reduces commission already accrued to you.
3. How and when you are paid
3.1 To be paid you must be 18 or over, complete Stripe's identity checks and set up a Stripe Express payout account through Steez. Commission is paid in pounds sterling once your accrued commission exceeds £10 and payouts are switched on for the payment channel concerned under Creator Terms Clause 18.4; until then it accrues and remains owed to you.
3.2 Commission is Steelo Labs' own unsecured debt to you. Steelo Labs does not hold any money on your behalf, on trust, or as client money.
4. Fair use
4.1 You must not refer yourself, create or use fake or duplicate accounts, buy or offer to pay for sign-ups, spam people, or promote Steez in a misleading way. When you promote Steez for commission you must make that clear, in line with the Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines and advertising rules.
4.2 If a referee's purchase is refunded or charged back, the commission on it is adjusted. If you breach clause 4.1, we may withhold or cancel commission connected with the breach and remove you from the programme, after telling you why; you can challenge the decision through our complaints process.
5. Tax, disputes and law
5.1 You are responsible for your own tax on commission. Where the law requires it, we may need your tax information for HMRC reporting and, if you are a US person, a valid IRS Form W-9 (or Form W-8 if you are not a US person) before we pay you.
5.2 Complaints go to support@steez.space under our Moderation, Complaints & Appeals Procedure. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
